To all ARRL Members in Minnesota
As many of you already know, as part of the celebration of the ARRL’s Centennial, W1AW is running this year as a portable operation in all 50 states. It will be active two different times in each state. In Minnesota, the first time was during February, at the time of the Minnesota QSO party. The next time is coming up in June.
All ARRL Members in Minnesota are eligible to sign up and run W1AW/0 from their own stations. The information is all in the message below, from Bill, AC0W. I encourage everyone to participate if you can. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of us to “be the DX.” Having participated in the first round, I can tell you that it can be an intense experience, but one that you won’t quickly forget. If you can, please sign up for a time, and then be sure to get on the air when your sked comes up. Let’s be sure we really put Minnesota on the air for the Centennial!
73, Greg, K0GW

W1AW/0 in Minnesota June 11-June 17
From Bill, AC0W
Just a little over 5 weeks until W1AW comes back to Minnesota. There are plenty of openings for people to sign up and use the call. Those who operated last time reported great pile-ups and lots of fun. Full details are on the web site of the Minnesota Wireless Association, www.w0aa.org, on the Centennial QSO Party Page. Down at the bottom is a link to the spreadsheet detailing times, dates, bands and mode availability. The direct link to the sheet is http://sdrv.ms/1dSbef5.
Send your reservation request to me at [email protected] . We have a good start in filling things up. One area we need help is the low bands. Something I would like to see is to fill all the operating spots during the weekend. There are plenty of openings yet. For the VHF & UHF enthusiast, W0ZQ is coordinating those operating slots. Contact him directly at [email protected].
Get your reservation request in now while there are plenty of openings left.
