Update June 10, 2024
Well, it finally dawned on me that I could use this website to get information out to the division. I know I should have done that several weeks ago. Let's just say I have limited website skills so it's not automatic for me to think of doing stuff like that.
The @arrl.org email addresses for Directors, Vice Directors and Section Managers is still not functional. They hope to get functional in the next few weeks. On the Contacts Page I've added an email address that works for me. As soon as I get permission from the others, I'll update theirs on the Contacts Page.
My [email protected] email forwarder was set to send to my [email protected] address, so I'm not getting those messages either. Right now, there is no way to change the address the forwarder sends too.
As HQ IT restore systems, they are being extremely careful to make sure there is nothing hidden somewhere that could trigger another incident or give the "hackers" an opening to get back in. This is delaying getting the email system functional. This is also delaying getting LOTW functional. The LOTW data is secure and complete up until the incident and they want to keep it that way.
The incident also disabled the system we (the Section Managers & myself) use to send messages to the division and sections. Don't have a date on when that will be functional so I will start listing some of the key items from my weekly update here on the website.

Field Day 2024
The Section Managers and I are planning Field Day sites visits again this year. Make sure you get your Field Day site listed on the Field Day Locator map arrl.org/field-day-locator. We use this site to plan our site visits. Try to get your information there within the next week as I would like to plan my travels this early next week.

Field Day Proclamations 2024
Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz has proclaimed Saturday and Sunday June 23 and 24, 2024, as Amateur Radio Operators Recognition Day in Minnesota. This coincides with ARRL’s annual Field Day event. This proclamation recognizes amateur radio operators and amateur radio organizations for their support and assistance during emergencies, weather spotting and helping education students with programs in schools.
A copy of the Proclamation is available for download from the Dakota Division web site. All Minnesota clubs are encouraged to download the Proclamation and post at their Field Day site. You can download a copy of the Proclamation from the Proclamation page of this website.
